Deceased Name: Steve Arnovich : PIPELINE FIRE VICTIMS

Steve Arnovich

Jeff Arnovich struggled Thursday with how to tell his 4-year-old niece that her father wasn't coming home to the house he'd built. Arnovich, 35, also leaves behind his wife, Candy. "We're just devastated," Jeff Arnovich said. Steve Arnovich started working in maintenance for Enbridge Inc. about 10 years ago. He received his welder's license 18 months ago, Jeff Arnovich said. His family understood the new job came with more risks, but never thought such danger would befall a man known for being meticulous and cautious. He designed and built his own home on a wooded lot on the edge of Superior, where played quarterback in high school before earning a degree at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. "Steve was a tireless husband and father," his brother said. "Friend to everybody."
